This is a Pitbull portrait on a 4"x4"x.25" Birch wood panel.
My friend recently adopted a Pitbull mix and she is such a cutie that it made me delve into researching the breed and paint an image of a Pitbull dog. You definitely learn about a subject if you paint it. My favorite parts of a Pitbull are their eyes and the shape of their heads. In the case of this particular dog, I love his nose. It was so much fun to paint.
